Should Wii owners expect any REAL games on Wii in the near future?

do the gaming companies have any plans on making any amazingly awesome shooter games or action/adventure games for the wii? because right now the games on wii are pretty pathetic compared to the ones on ps3 and Xbox. i am dissappointed in the wii because of the small choice of games. but if nintendo plans on making codmw2 on wii like the xbox version, i may be happy.and where does the wii stand today in the gaming market. it sells the most but is most unpopular amongst serious gamers. when people hear of the wii they think that its a joke console. why cant nintendo make their console amazing like the others. they were the first ones to make gaming consoles and the others just copied? will the next wii be able to compete for real with the ps3 or xbox?

In short the Wii is not aimed at serious gamers & as it sells the most consoles then you can bet there will be new games

The Wii is simply for a different type of gamer. Just because you aren’t a fan of first person shooters and prefer Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong, does not make you any less serious. And a game doesn’t have to be a shooter in order to be a ‘real’ game. The Wii is amazing. It may not output in HD, but it is a great console with a lot of really nice features and tons of great games if you are a fan of Nintendo and it’s titles.
If you prefer the types of titles that Xbox and PS3 have and detest all of those for the Wii, then just stick with your Xbox, there’s no point in even worrying about a Wii.

People like you must realize that the wii WAS NOT MEANT and i repeat WAS NOT MEANT to be a console that has a bunch of bloody shooter games with death around every corner. That’s the xbox 360 and ps3. The wii was meant for everyone meaning everyone. WII is great because you are actually part of the game. People have to realize that a serious gamer is actually a person who is crazed about shooter games with blood in every second. You start the game a war is going blood is everywhere and a bomb is dropped. You have got to realize the wii is for everyone and not just shooter games. But the best to a shooter game you will get are the metroid games

sure they will, the number one fist person shooter game for the wii right now is Call of Duty Modern Warfare: reflex edition
i LOVE it, and the graphics are amazing, nothing like most of the other games for the wii

Wii is made for fun. An affordable, fun, console for the whole family. The majority of the games are for children. Hence the reason why you are not impressed. The Wii is not made for the serious gamer.
